Bright Remarks by Hayley

• Every time I look at a sunset I think "It's a flat rainbow!"
• Hayley likes to have us sing the hymn "High on a Mountain Top" before bed and she was apparently paying close attention to the words in the fourth verse because she asked us as soon as it ended, "Daddy, what is 'fraught'?" I told her something like, "Well it means 'full of' or 'surrounded by'" She thought for a second and came up with the application, "You mean like 'Jumping on the couch is fraught with danger' ? - because you might fall off."
