I was doing a lot of updating on our family on our blog, but Emily started writing weekly emails to her family so I stopped (I don't know if that is any excuse, but I knew that somewhere someone was writing down the events in our lives and some details of our kids' growing-up-years, so I don't feel as driven to duplicate it myself) - and she wasn't comfortable with me emailing them out to lots of other people or posting it to a blog, so few have heard from me in over a month unless they've checked in in person. The most I've managed to do was to upload a WHOLE LOT of family pictures back at the beginning of this month at our other blog [click the blue link for an update or just ask us for the blog address so you can see how awesome we are].
As for me - I'm doing well. I have dropped about 20 lbs (depending on how big the most recent meal was and how much water I've had at any given moment) since November. I've gotten behind at work with paper-stuff that needs to be done and have never really caught up from thanksgiving and Christmas vacation (I decided then not to put in any over-time or extra hours). But the juggernaut-of-a-job just keeps rolling forward as the paper gets deeper. At least that is how it feels right now.
Life at home is great - this weekend the most productive thing I did was sharpen all of the crayons in the crayon box with Nathan and have a good pillow fight/wrestle match with the three kids. I'm trying not to work too hard. :)
My brother Ty keeps wanting me to go fishing or skiing and I haven't gotten that far. We are celebrating our anniversary next weekend, so I won't go then either. And we've only got a few more Tuesdays to watch Grandma Ridley bowl this year so I'm hoping we can make a game. Time is running out on all of the above. Isn't that always the way it goes?
